Sharing & service providers

We work with Shopify, Heroku (Salesforce), and Hosting.com (SmarterMail) to run the app. We will list any new providers here. We never sell personal data.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the UK, EU, or US. We use the EU Commission Standard Contractual Clauses (Module 2) and the UK Addendum, along with Shopify’s data addendum, to safeguard transfers.

Retention

We retain personal data while your subscription is active and for up to 6 years after uninstall to meet legal obligations (including tax and contract law requirements) and resolve disputes, unless law requires longer retention. Support records are kept until resolved or as legally required.

Section Link uses HTTPS encryption, access controls, separate environments, and monitored infrastructure. Credentials stay in encrypted storage.

Merchant responsibilities

  • Maintain current theme backups before using Section Link.
  • Test syncs on a duplicate theme before applying changes to a live store.

3. Merchant responsibilities
